Who We Are
|
Dr. Veber is a board certified family physician in Charlottesville, VA. She grew up in Mount Pleasant, SC, near Charleston, and she earned her undergraduate degree at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC, and her medical doctorate from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. Her love for family medicine and Charlottesville drew her here in 2003 for residency training, and she completed her family medicine residency at the University of Virginia in 2006. She also completed a one-year adolescent medicine fellowship in 2007 and has special interests in sports medicine, pediatrics, women’s health, men’s health, and traveler’s health. She served as a faculty physician at the University of Virginia Department of Student Health, where she also taught medical students and resident physicians in training for 9 years. In addition to patient care, she teaches an introduction to clinical medicine course in the UVa College of Medicine. She is a member of the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Her commitment to her patients’ well being and the ability to give them the best care possible sparked her decision to start her own family practice. She chose the direct primary care model for her practice because she values the opportunity to spend more time getting to know her patients and their families and understanding their backgrounds, health issues, needs and goals in order to provide excellent personalized healthcare. |
“I highly recommend Dr Veber and Mount Pleasant Family Medicine. Dr Veber is an excellent and caring doctor who is attentive and diligent in follow up with her patients. She has helped many of my friends and family with her ability to quickly identify and diagnose issues properly and then make sure they received appropriate care. In November, Dr Veber recognized what another doctor had diagnosed as a scratch on my eye as shingles. She started me immediately on the appropriate course of treatment, which cleared up the shingles. On her recommendation, I followed up with an eye specialist. The specialist said that Dr Veber’s early diagnosis and early treatment saved me from a serious loss of eyesight. I am thankful for Dr Veber's quick intervention!”

"Prior to being a patient with Dr. Veber, I saw going to the doctor as a last resort if I couldn't self treat my conditions with OTC's. Scheduling an appointment was always such a hassle, it never seemed to make sense. It is amazing how quickly that attitude can change when you have a quality, personal relationship with your direct doctor. My wife and I became patients with Dr. Veber last fall and couldn't be happier with the service. She is attentive, intelligent, and goes the extra mile to ensure our strength and health are cared for. Our family now has a truly different view on the role a doctor should play in our lives and we are never going back to the traditional healthcare system - patients for life!"
